Can i gain muscle while losing fat?

Its a commonly asked question and alot of the time the answer is no or that it is too difficult and the only method is to "bulk and cut", but the truth is that it is possible its just that your schedule will be strict and need close attention and a lot of people don't have the time or integrity to follow. To gain muscle the body needs to be in anabolic mode (building up mode) and to lose fat the body needs to be in catabolic mode (breaking down mode) and the time you can utilize these modes can vary depending on your dietary intake, body and hormones, most people find it easier to concentrate on doing one of these at a time and sometimes you can get more gains, more efficiency and less stress doing so, but some people don't want to spend heaps of time bulking and sometimes even possibly gaining fat and then having to spend weeks cutting down, some people just want to slowly progressively do both at the same time and i can understand that and i have had success with both approaches but from personal experience i would recommend the "bulking and cutting" approach, its like a investment with great returns.

To gain muscle while losing fat you will need to have a high enough dietary intake to do heavy weight training to build up and maintain muscle mass, but you will also need to have it just low enough so that you can do cardio to burn fat but not metabolise your muscle, a lot of personal experimenting and tweaking will need to be done, but its a fun project, Good luck with your gains.

Why dont i gain any muscle?

Alot of people blame genetics for not being able to gain muscle but genetics is the least likely to be stunting your muscle growth, i do admit there are some major genetically blessed freaks out there but the only reason they are so massive or ripped is because they put in the effort and have the knowledge to back it, otherwise they would just be like every other person, having muscle is a great tool to assist in every day tasks, burn calories and pick up the ladies, not to mention that it stays with you a fair while once you have gained it, the gaining is the hard part, if you have any questions feel free to ask away.
